Brussels: commissioning of the Marconi depot signalling system
published onMay 13, 2019

Our teams have commissioned the railway signalling system for the Marconi tram depot operated by the Brussels public transport corporation (STIB).

This SIL 2 signalling system, deployed by our Crossway teams, includes control equipment for 60 electrically operated points and signalling lights for 26 sidings.

The railway signalling system is interfaced with an intelligent traffic management system including a centralised supervision system (SGL) developed by Cegelec Infra Technics, a Belgian subsidiary of Vinci Energies.

The signalling system was installed and tested without disrupting the operation of the Marconi depot.
