Mobility's traffic management support system goes into high gear

Mobility's traffic management support system is going beyond regional borders for deployment on a national scale.

Following the deployment of its traffic management support system in three control centres for the Interdepartmental Road Directorate of the Centre-Est region of France, Mobility has now been asked to install this solution in four other regions.

Over the next two years, the traffic management support system will be deployed in the Sud-Ouest (Toulouse, summer 2018), Ouest (Rennes, autumn 2018), Centre-Est (Lyon, spring 2019) and Est (Nancy, summer 2019) Interdepartmental Road Directorates.

This initial deployment phase will be followed by further installations in other regions, including the Massif Central and North Interdepartmental Road Directorates.

The traffic management support system is based in part on the @way solution developed by the ITS business unit. It offers improved assistance for operations and decision-making, through the provision of new services, such as automatic traffic jam management, speed limit control, and an access control management system. It is capable of simultaneously exchanging information and interacting with the systems of other operators (such as Tipi, Coraly and Scoop), thus serving to improve motorists' safety and travel experience.
