Orléans aims for all-electric bus operations with Cway
Our E-bus business unit has been assisting Keolis Métropole Orléans during slow charging trials at the Saint-Jean-de-Braye depot, using our intelligent bus charging system, Cway.
For the last few months, a 3×50 kW charging station at the Saint-Jean-de-Braye depot has been used to simultaneously charge up to three electric buses made by Yutong and Heuliez.
This solution, which is particularly suited to multi-manufacturer fleets, offers numerous features aimed at operational flexibility and performance:
- interoperability based on the CCS standard
- simultaneous charging (in 5 to 7 hours) of three buses, at a power of 50 kW per bus
- quick charging at 100 or 150 kW on any outlet, to cope with operational contingencies
- redundancy between modules for maximum availability
Mobility E-bus assisted the operator’s staff during commissioning of this new equipment. The maintenance teams were also invited to a presentation of the system’s features, components and maintenance procedures.
The city of Orléans is aiming to operate a fully electric fleet by 2025.
