Two forward-looking topics for the Innovation and Perspectives Committee
“Even if one has seen everything, this is precisely when curiosity fabricates something new”. It is with this quote from Heidegger’s Being and Time, and the keywords “curiosity” and “creativity”, that Mobility’s Innovation and Perspectives Committee started its new session.
Comprising a balanced mix of engineers and support functions (HR, purchasing, legal), this committee, set up in June 2014, is aimed at instilling emulation among staff and developing new methodologies and approaches to permeate all current and future projects.
A dozen innovation subjects, ranging from financial engineering to over-connectivity and in-house human capital, have emerged. Two areas have been given particular priority: the first relates to the integration of transportation in the environment and how to minimise its environmental impact; the second concerns open innovation or how to boost R&D and change the approach in order to sustain creativity. Working groups will be set up on these two topics.
